Shelves for shelving sake

One of the other Ikea items were shelves. I had mentioned the need for a proper fastener in an earlier post.

Here are the visuals of installation with toggle bolts -

You need to fold the toggles in before pushing it into the wall, (make sure you put both in at once or it's a real pain) and to tighten you need to pull the shelf out towards you.

- Basically the toggle needs to be held against the wall in order to tighten the screw, so try not to do one at a time, but alternate the top and bottom slowly.

Isn't the puppy shelf just so cute? - This is necessary with a beagle.

And here is the beginning of our liquor shelf...

Turned out gorgeous, except that I may have hit a wire when I tried to put in the second one, so that isn't quite up yet.

- Note to the novice - If you ever hit something in a wall that springs the drill back out, you more than likely hit a wire casing - it is important to STOP at that point 

Will post once finished - I think the kitchen will take precedence.
