Easy puppy fence

So we have an odd backyard with an old garage, basically in the middle of the yard on one side. It looks like there used to be a parking pad off the alley in behind it.
The *pad area has always been a bit of a junk spot, and a place for the neighbour's over-grown plants to grow into.
No wonder the dogs want to go into it and sniff for hours! The scary thing is that we can't see them back there, so it's worry-some. For this reason, we have decided to build a bit of a fence to stop the puppies from going back there... and after quite a bit of deliberation I had figured out the most economical way of doing it...

Some 24" high chicken wire - $12.99
Four 48" wood stakes - $0.99/ea

Total cost $17.00!

Stakes are in! - We had to stagger them because parts of the old parking pad was still underneath everything

This is what I got for 12.99 - 25' and we barely used it!

Putting it up, we actually used zip ties as a temporary solution here. We will need to change them next year,  but it works for now.

All done, and doesn't look too bad!

This is what happened when we let the beagle off his chain...

Aww. Poor puppy can't explore.

  1. I know! He's so sad, every time I let him out, he runs all the way back there, and then stops dead. Poor guy!
